STUDENTS INTERVIEWS: YI AND HAO-ZHE

07.10.2021

To help you get to know the people behind ZD, we introduce you to our employees, working students and interns. Hao-Zhe and Yi both first completed an internship with us and then worked as working students. Here they give a little insight into their experiences at ZD, as well as tell us about there most remarkable moments:

Overview
Name:YiJobtitel:Intern/Working student in hardware development
Abteilung: Research & DevelopmentDauer der Tätigkeit: 01.12.2020 – 30.09.2021
Studiengang: Electrical engineering and information technologyHochschule: TU München

What was your area of responsibility?

I programmed microcontrollers and was co-responsible for the PCB layout.

What did you learn during your internship?

Basically, I have developed massively at ZD. Without a doubt, I’ve learned more in my time here than in the lectures at university. There, it’s all about what is usually done and what techniques are used. More importantly, I learned at ZD what shortcuts are used to get results and what theories don’t really make sense in practice. I learned to solve problems as early as possible and to recognise my limitations.

Why did you decide to do an internship with us?

As I am personally very interested in the automotive sector, the internship and later the working student position at ZD were of course perfect for me. From the very beginning, the people I worked with were great.

What did you like best?

That I have learned more about myself. I can better assess my own abilities and know my expectations and motivation.

What was your best experience at ZD?

My most enjoyable experience was being involved in the design of a new hardware. And also programming MCU from ZD Datalogger 2F.
