With the development of vehicle intelligence and networking, the explosive growth of in-vehicle communication as well as the revolutionary changes in the high-speed communication architecture of the entire vehicle, high-bandwidth Automotive Ethernet has emerged. It can meet the new requirements of automotive electronics, provide a reliable, mature and standardized solution, which also supports higher performance in the future.

If the intelligent networked car is compared to a person, then the automotive Ethernet will form a neural network to transmit commands to various organs. Today, automotive Ethernet is increasingly used in various system such as in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), in-vehicle diagnostic systems, and in-vehicle infotainment systems.

In order to cope with this change, we have launched the ZD-Converter 1500 and 2000 based on our scientific and technological R&D strength to assist global OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers in the development and verification of automotive Ethernet products and systems.

ZD-Converter: Automotive Ethernet Solution for PC

ZD-Converter is a series of PC-side solution for automotive Ethernet, which enables the connection to a PC /laptop. It supports the connection between RJ45 and 100/1000 Mbps Automotive ethernet, which is compatible with Windows and Linux system.

ZD adheres to technology research and development to improve functions and performance of our products. After the launch of ZD-Converter 1000 last year, we are very proud to introduce our new products ZD-Converter 1500 and ZD-Converter 2000. Both upgraded products have passed been strictly tested at ZD R&D in Germany, which are fully compliant with relevant international industry standards e. g. OPEN Alliance BroadR- Alliance BroadR-Reach®, IEEE 802.3bw and IEEE 802.3bp.

ZD-Converter 1500

The ZD-Converter 1500 is designed as both a sniffer for ECU communication and a media converter between 100/1000Base-T1 Automotive Ethernet and 100/1000M Standard Ethernet. With one 100/1000Base-T1 Automotive Ethernet Port connected, users can use the device as a media converter to convert Ethernet signals between the ECU of a car or test bench and a PC or data logger.

ZD-Converter 2000

ZD-Converter 2000 combines three \”black technologies\” into one box: converter, sniffer and interceptor. It is a powerful in-vehicle communication test and analysis development tool that not only enables dual conversion and auto-negotiation between in-vehicle Ethernet and standard Ethernet, but also can sniff the communication between different ECUs on any car and test benches. In addition, users can also input information from the standard Ethernet port of the PC to simulate in-vehicle Ethernet communication.

ZD-Converter 2000 is an ideal device for test automation. In its programming interface, all parameters of ZD-Converter 2000 such as application modes, Master/Slave, 100/1000M can be fully configurated. For example, in the case of test automation, the mode of ZD-Converter 2000 can be switched to sniffer or sniffer FD mode to use hardware forwarding to minimized communication delay. It can be switched to interceptor mode or converter mode to do ethernet simulation or bypassing man-in-the-middle simulation when necessary.
