To help you get to know the people behind ZD, we introduce you to our employees, working students and interns. Hao-Zhe and Yi both first completed an internship with us and then worked as working students. Here they give a little insight into their experiences at ZD, as well as tell us about there most remarkable moments:
Overview |
Name:Yi | Jobtitel:Intern/Working student in hardware development |
Abteilung: Research & Development | Dauer der Tätigkeit: 01.12.2020 – 30.09.2021 |
Studiengang: Electrical engineering and information technology | Hochschule: TU München |
I programmed microcontrollers and was co-responsible for the PCB layout.
Basically, I have developed massively at ZD. Without a doubt, I’ve learned more in my time here than in the lectures at university. There, it’s all about what is usually done and what techniques are used. More importantly, I learned at ZD what shortcuts are used to get results and what theories don’t really make sense in practice. I learned to solve problems as early as possible and to recognise my limitations.
As I am personally very interested in the automotive sector, the internship and later the working student position at ZD were of course perfect for me. From the very beginning, the people I worked with were great.
That I have learned more about myself. I can better assess my own abilities and know my expectations and motivation.
My most enjoyable experience was being involved in the design of a new hardware. And also programming MCU from ZD Datalogger 2F.

Name:Hao-Zhe | Jobtitel:Intern/Working student in vehicle software development |
Abteilung: Research & Development | Dauer der Tätigkeit: 01.04. – 30.09.2021 |
Studiengang: Information Systems Technology | Hochschule: TU Darmstadt |
I coded parsers, programmed MCUs and was responsible for CI/CD and app debugging. I also created and wrote tests.
Professionally, I learned a lot of new things in the areas of Node.js, Jenkins, Redis and ISP. In terms of my soft skills, I was able to strengthen collaboration and communication.
You can gain an insight into the automotive industry here and familiarise yourself with the software development life cycle.
The friendly and helpful colleagues. I also liked the working culture and atmosphere.
The sense of achievement after successfully completing an important task.
At this point we would like to thank Yuhan for the interview and his work with us in the development and wish him all the best for his future! If you are interested in an internship with us now, you will always find all open positions in this overview.
